- Breeding and Nursery Rearing of Carps, Anabas, Pearlspot, Murrel & other indigenous fishes
- Nursery rearing of tilapia and mahseer
- Experimental breeding and seed production of fishes ( Silver carp, Clarius sp., H.fossilis etc.)
- Breeding and rearing of ornamental fishes
- Live-feed culture (artemia, moina, copepod, grindal worm, chlorella etc.).
- Training and capacity building programmes to fish farmers and students
