- The Eranholi brackish water farm is located in Eranholi village of Thalassery taluk in Kannur district. The water source for the farm is the Eranholi-Dharmadam brackish water system. It has a total area of 10.95 ha with six number of ponds having a water spread area of 9.07 ha
- The farm is a demonstration farm for new aquaculture initiates especially for milkfish. It has also involved in the farming of milkfish, pompano and grey-mullet in ponds and vannamei shrimp in biofloc tank system. There is also demonstration farming on mussel farming, pen culture and cage farming
- Seed production of pearlspot and nursery rearing of milkfish is practicing there mainly to cater the needs of farmers of northern districts
- It is proposed to produce 10.2 lakh of seed and 40.87 ton of fish worth Rs.212.52 lakh during next season. Two technical staff, two ministerial staff and seven labourers are working in the farm
